nancyNancy Grace Baah is the Women’s Commissioner for Graduate Students Association (GRASAG), UCC local. She stays at Esereso in the Ashanti region, but comes from Ajumako Mando in the Central region. Born on 28th of March, she is the last born of her siblings. Nancy had her primary education at Airport International School in Kumasi where she was the Girls Prefect and passed with distinction.

In 2006, she started her secondary education at Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion Senior High School in Cape Coast where she studied Business and completed in the year 2009. At Aggrey, Nancy joined the Drama Group of Ghana Methodist Students Union (GHAMSU) and became the organizer in her final year.

Her care for everyone and her welcoming behavior informed her decision to pursue Hospitality Management for her first degree in 2010. On campus, Nancy joined Wesleyan Theatre, a wing in GHAMSU and was the organizer for the 2012/2013 academic year and served passionately to reach out to others about God. With her love for God and passion for her program, she completed in 2014 and emerged the “Best Hospitality Student” for her year group. After first degree, Nancy worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, UCC.

In August 2015, she had admission to further her education in Hospitality Management. Her pursuit for MPhil originates from her desire to immensely contribute towards the provision of quality services to meet customers’ satisfaction in the industry by educating others.

Since her infancy, she believes that women are an important factor of life. However, in our society, women are always seen as a tool for the kitchen and creatures who cannot do anything, and as such not given a chance in decision making and other societal activities, until recently where a few laws have been passed to empower women. Nancy has the welfare of women at heart and will do anything to ensure that.

Nancy is efficient, effective and God fearing. She believes more in deeds and not words when it comes to work and will do everything humanly possible to achieve goals to ensure the development of GRASAG-UCC and the nation at large. She is an ambassador for change.
